The following members have been awarded with Life Membership of Southside Members in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the club.
|Bruce McCredie (Deceased)|
Bruce was a long-term member of Southside Masters who was actively involved in club activities as Assistant Secretary, Starter & Race Announcer. Bruce was awarded a Life Membership in 2003.
Bruce was a race walker and was known for his cheeky commentary at the track. Bruce completed the very first City to Surf run that started on the Sydney Town Hall steps, and was a strong competitor in road races & fun runs.
|Ron Whitham (Deceased)|
Ron was a long-term member of Southside Masters who was always willing to help out with anything. He was the 1950 NSW Marathon Champion.
The annual Ron Whitham Handicap race series is named in his honour.
John has been a member of Southside Masters since 1989, and has helped with the weekly running of events since 1995.
"There is much satisfaction in repaying the Club and its members for the many hours of pleasure and friendship I have received for a long time."
Rhonda looks after all the weekly race administration tasks, including balancing the entry fees, accepting membership renewals and recording the race results.
Roy is the Social Secretary and helps to plan the Annual Christmas Dinner and trackside BBQs where you will usually see him cooking the snags.

Peter was the Handicapper for many years, not always the most popular job in any club, but one that he always completed fairly and with a smile.
Bob has been the President of Southside Masters for a very long time (decades rather than years!). He is very passionate about running very long distances and a record of his long running career is here.
